In the last few weeks, I have ditched my morning bowl of cereal for a smoothie. I love waking up every morning, surveying my fruit bowl and deciding who’s gonna get it. Today it was pineapple, a slosh of coconut milk, some pawpaw, a banana, grated ginger and fresh lime juice.
It differs from day to day depending on what’s ripe and what’s available, but my general rule of thumb is no added sugar, no dairy, and nothing but goodness. I have a small glass while I’m getting ready at home, and then take take the cup to go into work with me and sip on it throughout the morning. That way, it lasts a while and I can stave off the mid-morning munchies.
